Experimental Embellishing

I told yall I had ideas beyond Junk Chuck's. Here are a few other creations; I'm still tweaking these to get them just right. But I am my best tester and if you are going to make something for others it should be something you would totally rock out yourself.

I wanted to take a stab at making a cell phone case.

Not bad for my first try but I still need to do more research.

After I got these funky embellishments I knew I wanted to do a jean jacket.

They are all the rage right now too. This is totally my style.

A few months ago I posted about embellishing sneakers and since then I've been embellishing up some stuff. I have tons of ideas I want to try but I lack the time to fit them all in. Since my last post I've done at least five pairs of Converse, Chuck Taylor's.  The great thing is everything is a one of a kind piece because I just simply can't do them the same. It's also nice to have something that everyone doesn't have.

I've also been experimenting with other items but I need to make a few more before I'm ready to put it out there for others. From Mi To You is officially taking orders...

I added a little splash to the back of her Chuck's.

Normally I like to work on a fresh canvas (new shoes) but this was for my besties daughter.
She already had a pair of Chuck Taylor's so I just spiced them up.

I did these as a birthday gift to an adorable 1 year old girl.

These were done as a birthday gift as well. They were our first official order.

Hidden in the mix is a tube of lipstick, a wing, a crown, a skull and a heart with wings.

DIY Embellished Shoe

This is my inaugural post to my craft/do it yourself (DIY) blog. This evening I decided to embellish some little sneakers I got for my daughter. Since this was my first time I didn't want to "mess up" any of her good shoes. So I picked these up from Target for $13, they are cheap and cute so this was perfect.

For the past two weeks I've been picking up embellishments from Hobby Lobby & JoAnn Fabrics. I wasn't 100% on what look I was going for so I decided to go for it and see what happens.

The shoe was all white trimmed in pink so I had a general idea of what colors I should use.

Industrial strength glue E6000

(You need proper ventilation when using this glue)

I have so many ideas on things I want to do.  One of my girls gave me some embellished Chucks at my baby shower and I've been in love ever since. They were my inspiration to make these and a lot of other things to come.
